Glacier Express connects Zermatt and St. Moritz, two major mountain resorts representing the Alps, by traveling the total distance of approximately 280 kms in 8 hours, striding over the areas of two major railway firms, Rhätische Bahn (RhB) and Matterhorn/Gottardo Railways. The locomotive in the scale model train set is Ge 4/4 III used in the area of RhB.
